New Life

As I write this on a cold spring day, the rain and wind have come in. Today may be cloudy and damp, but the hope of a bright tomorrow and spring is on its way.

Yesterday, I went outside to see new green shoots of grass popping up in my yard. Daffodils have pushed their way through the surface. After a winter that produced over two feet of snow, this is a miracle!

I look forward to the blooms from my Saucer Magnolia and enjoy the now yellow buds on the Forsythia I can see from my family room window. Ah! Spring! I am so thankful it is here.

What a year we have all been through. Last year at this time, we were in lockdown as the country reeled from Covid-19. Today, we have the promise of a safe, effective vaccine.

New Life is showing itself in so many forms. Hope is there to see in the small things and the big. May we treasure the One who gives seemingly dead things new life. Jesus. It is Easter time! Amen!
